I love the one about adversity being a turning point - that is so very true as I have experienced that myself. Thanks for sharing on Bizsugar.com too :)

Re: 7 Strategies To Control Your Thoughts (and not the other way around!)

Hi Ian,

Thanks for your comment (and for the pic!).

That is a great strategy, thanks for sharing; I wrote an entire post just on that one "Why me", a couple of weeks ago.

Here is it: Tackle Your “Why Me” Moments in 5 Strategies (http://mountainmovingmindset.c... if you'd like to check it out.

Have a soundly week,
Frederique

Re: 7 Strategies To Control Your Thoughts (and not the other way around!)

Thanks for the post, one of the big steps forward that I took in my life in banishing worry/not sleeping etc was to ask different questions. These basically move the focus of your mind.

So for example if I was laid off from my job, I would worry if I kept asking myself the questions along the lines of "Why me?" "Why not him, he has less experience, has been with the company less time etc etc"

However, if I ask myself the questions that just accept I have been laid off along the lines of "Where can I get a new job?" "What can I add to my resume (CV) to make it more attractive?" then I sleep soundly (as usual).

I want to improve people's working lives for the better and your tips would certainly help, thanks for the post.

Re: 7 Strategies To Control Your Thoughts (and not the other way around!)

Hi Stacie,

Thanks for your comment.

Delighted you loved it! And, yes, it is!! I am absolutely fascinated by it, and will continue to spread the news and provide techniques, strategies and tips so that we can all learn how to master it.

As I say: When you master your mindset, you free yourself to achieve the level of success you desire and deserve. #M3Power

Thank you for writing this powerful article. It is amazing what our mind is capable of doing. Nothing can keep us from the level of success that is desired!

Many Blessings,

Thanks for your comment.

Great to hear you've enjoyed the post, and will refer to it again.

Plus, fantastic for our readers to read your comment, as you share you have successfully applied 2 of these strategies, Switch and Scribe.

Have an outstanding week,

Thanks for your comment.

A pleasure to share these easy and straightforward strategies; I thrive in making things easy for us to remember, and therefore apply, so, in this instance, all strategies starting by the letter S!

Have a wonderful week,
Frederique

Re: 7 Strategies To Control Your Thoughts (and not the other way around!)

Hi John,

Thanks for your comment.

Yes, awareness in our power and control is key to our success; the more aware we are, the more in control we are and can drive towards our goals and outcome.

Glad that these strategies will be of help. And the more you do them, the less you will actually have to do them, as you will notice a decrease in your "worry" time.

Have a fantastic week,
Frederique

Re: 7 Strategies To Control Your Thoughts (and not the other way around!)

Great post Frederique. I can definitely relate to these thoughts that start and keep me awake. I have tried "Switch" before and that works well. Also writing everything down - it's a bit like a "data dump". I will refer back to your 7 S's next time it happens. Thanks for sharing on Bizsugar.com

Re: 7 Strategies To Control Your Thoughts (and not the other way around!)

Thanks for this. It is very useful to realise that you can control your thoughts rather than the other-way round. I will definitely be using some of these tips as I am a bit of a worrier even though I think I am essentially a positive person.

Re: 7 Strategies To Control Your Thoughts (and not the other way around!)

Easy to remember - 7 S's. Thanks for that. Find myself advising clients a similar way - focusing on what they are great at, and minimizing what they are not great at; looking at the cup half full and seeking continual fulfillment. Thanks for the tips Frederique!

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the comment.

Glad it was thought provoking, and I do LOVE the aircraft metaphor!

I had not come across that one before, thanks for sharing. The Wikipedia definition says: Fear is a distressing negative sensation induced by a perceived threat.

It is about stepping out; stepping out from our box, from our comfort zone. And, it can, not only be uncomfortable, but also scary.

And, I agree, as mentioned to Julian in a separate comment, fear does stand between us and what we want, and yet do not have.

Have a fantastic week,
Frederique

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

Hi Julian,

Thanks for the comment.

I am delighted you've enjoyed the post, both for its honesty and its content. And, thank you for the feedback overall, it is always great to hear it!

It is about learning how to embrace the fear, as everything we want, and yet do not have, is on the opposide side of fear. And, that is an ongoing and recurrent process!

Have an incredible week,
Frederique

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

An interesting and thought provoking post Frederique.

I like the anacronym for FEAR, that is:

Future
Events
Appearing
Real

It is not really fear I don't feel but the discomfort we feel in doing something new or unfamiliar. We just need to go through our fears. The more successful people will run towards their fears.

I always feel that if you on a path to achievement it is a bit like an aircraft journey. You are pretty much assured of getting to your destination but there will be a bit of turbulence on the way too. This is the little "fear" bit.

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

Hi
Frederique!

This is one incredible post! Thank you so much for sharing to us such a honest and interesting post. I couldn't agree more when you said that successful people do not have fears. Not that they don't have fears, it's that they have learned how to face and embrace them. When fear strikes, successful people do not cower and surrender, instead they use this weakness to pull through and make their lives even better. This is what made them successful!

I really liked and enjoyed reading your posts. Thanks for spreading light, clarity, and encouragement. Keep up the good work and keep your posts coming.

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

Hi Jude,

Thanks for the comment.

Glad that breaking down the steps for facing our fears is of great use to you! While I can see where Bob Proctor is coming from, within the M3 Power philosophy, I'd add that a combo of nerves (fear) AND excitement creates the ideal mix to face and embark on a challenging and worthwhile opportunity (of course, having checked that the opportunity is aligned and congruent too!). I also agree that stepping out of comfort naturally creates fear and then again, it is an absolute must to grow.

Have an exciting (and, if i may ;-) fearful week,
Frederique

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

Hi Eileen,

Thanks for the comment.

I'm delighted this has reached you at the right moment! So exciting to know that you are moving on, pushing through and moving towards your BIG dreams.

Have an amazing week,
Frederique

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

Thanks for the great steps for facing fear. I have studied a lot of what Bob Proctor has to say about facing fear. He says that if a new business opportunity doesn't cause a feeling of fear or butterflies in the stomach then he doesn't take the opportunity. There is always fear in doing something new, and their is no growth if you aren't doing something new.

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

Great insight, I needed this so much. Totally true, now I can move on and push through.

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

Hi Ann,

Thanks for the comment.

Glad you've enjoyed it; yes, I wanted to start by saying that, as it is a common misconception, and it is great to see it on black & white!

Have a successful week,
Frederique

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

Thank you for sharing this great advice. I agree about what you said
that a successful person is not that they do not have fears, it is that
we’ve learned how to face and embrace them! And every step of facing
those fears makes you even more successful!

Re: 4 Steps To Push Through Your Fears

Hi John,

Thanks for the comment, as always ;)

It is great for you to share you are using a similar process with success ;-) And, for fellow readers to read your experience in realising that we, and it is indeed common, often fear in big scale and large fonts!
